Heartache

It is with a heavy heart that I type this post, Mathews has lost another one of our bright shining stars.  This is becoming all to common here, I can not ever remember having our young adults taking their own lives with this frequency.  My heart aches for the families and loved ones of those that have left us far too early.  I pray that the Lord will comfort them and extend his grace and strength to them in this most difficult time.

This most recent loss struck close to home for me.  I personally did not know the young man, other than contact with him at his place of employment,  but he was the best friend of my nephew.  It is all so senseless, this losing of our young people.  I have been dwelling on the "why" today and I am no closer to an answer now than I was this morning.  I just know that we all are a little worst off because of it.

There has been one astonishing thing to come from this and that is the outpouring of love and caring that has been shown by our youth... it is simply amazing.  It just goes to show just how each and everyone of us make an impact on those around us.  This young man was well loved and respected and my heart goes out to each and everyone of these kids that is dealing with this loss.

I want all to watch this video... the young, the old, and anyone who is teetering on the edge of despair.... may it give you a different perspective on your situation.
