Our ditches now have their own Facebook page and I invite all to check it out.
"The Ditches of Mathews County is a record of our efforts to get VDOT to
restore our roadside and outfall ditches to a healthy storm water
management system and The Ditches of Mathews County Facebook Page now

Everyone in Mathews County is invited to come to the page and check it
out, and hopefully, click to say they like it. The photo album titled
Onemo has the pictures and story of the first two outfalls and adjacent
roadside ditches that have been restored. Both now function as they were
designed to do.
If viewers go to the album and click on the
image, they can click on the first thumbnail to see full size pictures
with descriptions of all 17. (The thumbnails don't show the whole
picture or give the story.)
We really look forward to hearing
from the citizens of Mathews County about ditches now and ditch stories
from the past, especially when they used to work well! Everyone's
welcome to post pictures and general locations and leave comments and
suggestions."
